Required restatement of preapproved defined contribution plans

As the laws change for pension plans, employers are required to operate their plans under the new requirements and adopt amendments, many times after the effective date of a change in the law. After a period of years in which a number of amendments may have taken place, the Internal Revenue Service requires that plans be restated to incorporate all the amendments into one plan document. That time is upon us once again.
